A funnier version of Bukowski, comedian Kyle Kinane is a favorite among the alternative-comedy audience. TV appearances on “Last Call With Carson Daly” and Comedy Central’s “Live at Gotham” have given him some exposure, but his brilliant new album Death of the Party, on AST Records, will attract new legions of followers with his tales of misadventure, bunny sex, and drinking like a werewolf.

On a recent episode of Mad Men, the Sterling Cooper creative team had to work all weekend to brainstorm five new ad concepts for Bacardi. After drinking rum and Cokes and wondering what they could mix it with in the blender, they decide “to smoke some marijuana” to help them think. After hours of snacking, lazy bickering, singing, T.S. Eliot quotes, and the ingenious slogan “Rum … have some,” Smitty says, “Bacardi Eisenhower.”

Interview with Anthony Jeselnik about his Jimmy Fallon job.
Pittsburgh native Anthony Jeselnik is a stand-up comedian who was hired on as one of the first joke writers for “Late Night With Jimmy Fallon.” It’s his first experience writing for a talk show, though he created material for Jimmy Kimmel on the American Music Awards and ESPYs. Jeselnik also wrote for Sarah Silverman when she hosted the Video Music Awards and the MTV Movie Awards. Read whole things at Asylum.com
